State Minister of Health Younis Panahi has made a serious allegation that there is a planned attempt to stop the education of girls in Iran. The minister stated that the poisoning was reported in the girls of Kwam, south of Tehran, and the children are being treated in the hospital. Iran announced a judicial inquiry into the incident.

The minister said that the children of the all-girls school were poisoned and a detailed inquiry into the incident was announced. No one has been arrested in the incident yet. The parents of the children demanded government intervention in the incident.

Protests started in Iran after the killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amni by religious affairs police for not wearing a headscarf.
