Kochi | The High Court adjourned the bail plea of Pulsar Suni, the accused in the actress assault case. The High Court said that it is considering the bail petition as per the instructions of the Supreme Court and clarified that various judgments are in favor of the right of the accused. The court also pointed out that bail does not become a right when the accused remains in jail without trial for six years. At the same time, the government asked the court not to grant bail to Pulsar Suni.
Last time, the High Court had directed that statements against Pulsar Suni, including those of Ati Jivetha, should be produced in the bail plea. Pulsar Suni’s contention is that he is eligible for bail as he has been an undertrial prisoner for six years.
At the same time, the trial court judge Honey M. said that six months more time is needed to complete the witness examination in the case. Varghese has requested in the Supreme Court. Dilip gave an affidavit in the Supreme Court showing that the reasons given by the prosecution for the trial are false.
