Mumbai: The unbeaten Indian team won the Himalayas in the Mumbai Test. Ashwin, unbeaten in the Jayant spin, beat New Zealand by 372 runs.
The New Zealand team that came to India participated in the two-match World Test Championship Series. The first Test became a ‘draw’. The second Test between the two teams was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India 325 and New Zealand 62 in the first innings. In the second innings, India declared at 276 for 7.
New Zealand, trailing by 540 in the second innings with a first innings lead (263), were 140 for five at the end of the third day’s play.
