The contract includes works to rehabilitate the infrastructures of the entire route, the electrification and catenary power system and the adaptation of stops and low voltage of the route, platforms and tracks. The successful bidder will also be in charge of setting up the workshops, garages and the office building and control center. The estimated value of the contract is 3.4 million euros and the execution period is eighteen months.

In addition, the council has requested a second line of aid from European funds worth 3.2 million to carry out the improvement of signaling and repair of machinery, the expansion of bike lanes and shared electric scooter stations. This item would also be used for the installation of video surveillance cameras to control and restrict access

In March 2020, the town council received 3.7 million euros to recover the tram from Next Generation funds (see news). These funds will be used for rehabilitation work on the infrastructures and facilities of Phase 1 of the tram line.
