This week, the singer, along with all the biggest celebs in the world, appeared at the annual fashion week events in Milan, Italy, wearing a real fox fur coat – which caused an uproar online.
Rihanna’s photo, which was uploaded to social networks, garnered a lot of harsh criticism from followers, which also led the animal rights organization “PETA” to intervene. In a strict letter sent by the organization, and sent by the president Lisa Langeit reads: “As a mother, you know what it is to protect and want to make sure that no one harms your family. Please remember that this instinct is also shared by mammals, foxes and rabbits that are torn from their families and killed for their fur.”
Later, Lange addressed Rihanna directly: “Won’t you help create a better world for your children, who can grow up in it by deciding not to wear fur anymore?”. In order to avoid wearing fur coats, the “PETA” organization suggested that Rihanna remove the coat and other items of clothing made of real fur from her wardrobe, and donate them to the survivors of the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.
