Orange has dedicated this year its stand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2923 to offer a Immersive experience in the metaverse incorporating the latest advances in 5G.

At the opening of the fair, this past Monday, February 27, His Majesty King Felipe VI attended a demonstration at the stand of the French operator in which visitors share experiences with other Orange centers in Spain, including the store The company’s ‘flagship’ in Malaga, where the mayor, Francisco de la Torre, was on Monday to participate in the event virtually.

The immersive experience of the metaverse offered by Orange is possible thanks to the ultra-low latency of 5G, which is capable of transmitting, in real time, the movements of the wearer of an immersion-enabled suit to his avatar, as if it were the human nervous system. For the development of this experience, Orange has had the collaboration of Huawei and Virtual Voyagers (a company recently acquired by Utopia Group).

Orange’s commitment to virtual experiences extends to the world of applications. The company shows the Immersive Now project on Mobile, a great platform for entertainment and 360 events, developed by Orange and available for IOS, Android and Meta Quest, which allows you to access exclusive virtual reality content and navigate through it using the mobile’s gyroscope or Virtual Reality glasses to live an immersive experience.

During the MWC, Immersive Now has a virtual reproduction of the Orange stand. From this space, the user will be able to see the demos and access the 360 camera located in the venue that will broadcast live what happens in this technological event.
