Chennai: Congress MP Thirunavukarasar has criticized that the AIADMK election was held for the Election Commission.

AIADMK volunteers who went to buy application forms after being informed that AIADMK internal elections were being held were attacked. Subsequently, OBS and EPS were declared uncontested as no one was allowed to apply for the posts of Coordinator or Co-Coordinator.

This was announced by Ponnaiyan and Pollachi Jayaraman who acted as Election Commissioners. This election has come under heavy criticism from the opposition. Trichy MP Thirunavukarasar, who joined the Congress party from being a member of the AIADMK, has been harshly critical of this.
