38-year-old Vineeth Srinivasan is a singer, screenwriter, director and actor who has contributed to Malayalam cinema in many fields. His film Hrudayam was well received in Tamil and Malayalam. The song sung by him in the film Premam is also very popular.

His recent release ‘Unni Mukundan’ was a great comedy and ‘Thangam’ is critically acclaimed.

In this case, he had come to Kerala to sing in a concert at the Waranadu temple festival. Later, there were complaints on social media that he ran away while singing.

Vineeth Srinivasan said on his Facebook page:

I am writing about this as I have received a lot of news and videos regarding the Waranadu temple event. It’s one of my favorite shows lately. At the end of the show I tried to stop the ceremony. I wanted to leave the place because of the unruly crowd.

I had to run away and get into the car as the car could not be brought inside the temple. But no violence happened to me. This is my 20th year as a singer. I have sung here for the 2nd time. I am ready to participate again if called again.

The fans sang along with me throughout the show. It was a fulfilling experience. What more could an artist want?
