Groomers and mechanics of the ski resort of La Plagne (Savoie), employees of the Société d’Aménagement de La Plagne (SAP), have been on strike since Tuesday. A “total and unlimited” movement, according to the notice filed by the CGT, to demand salary increases. The mechanics demand a revaluation of 500 euros per month while inflation continues to gallop.

In a press release, relayed by France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the management of the Société d’Aménagement de La Plagne is surprised by these claims since it recalls that an agreement providing for a salary increase of 6.2% has was signed last December by the CGT and Force Ouvrière. This strike for higher wages due to inflation is very popular with groomers. It could spoil the end of the school holidays because ski slopes could still be closed.
