Mylam: In Koralur next to Mylam, the villagers are protesting against the construction of a school building very close to the clan.

There is a Panchayat Union Primary School up to Class V in Koralur village next to Mylam. 22 students are studying in this school.

The school building here was in a dilapidated condition so the building was demolished and now the school is running in a rented building.

Villagers have objected to the fact that there is a pond and a tamarind tree near the school building which is being built at a cost of Rs.8 lakh in the Koralur village next to Mailam, saying that there will be danger to the students in the future.

As there is a pond near the school, it will be dangerous if the students play in the pond, and the school children will be affected if there is a sudden burst of water in the pond during the rainy season.

Also, the high voltage power line running very close to this new building may pose risks to students in the future.

The foundation work for the building is currently going on. The villagers have demanded that the new building should be built on the same place as the old building.
