The Openbank Aspar Team opens an electrifying era in 2023 with Ducati in MotoE, category in which the team aspires to the title with two-time champion Jordi Torres, who joins the veteran María Herrera. The two riders will compete in 16 races, 8 different circuits and on the new Ducati V21L. This lighter and sportier bike brings new features that put the category at the world championship level.
This season, the Openbank Aspar Team incorporates the double champion of the competition, Jordi Torreswho returns under the orders of Jorge Martínez “Aspar” almost a decade later and does so with his inseparable Nico Terol as the team’s sports director. Two wins, eight podiums and two MotoE titles They summarize the electric career of the Catalan, who in 2023 will seek to recover his crown after it was taken from him last season by the Swiss Dominique Aegerter.

Torres arrives in 2023 to reinforce a team that will once again have María Herrera in its ranks. The Openbank Aspar Team rider is one of the veterans of the category who, at 26, He faces the fifth season in MotoE with his ambition intact. With Ferrari and Granado, Herrera is the only driver who has competed in all the races in the electric category and hopes to demonstrate her experience to face the jump to the Ducati with the maximum guarantees.

The MotoE world championship will start the weekend of May 14 in Franciay will take place in most of the European World Cup circuits: Le Mans, Mugello, Sachsenring, Assen, Silverstone, Red Bull Ring, Barcelona and Misano.
