Archaeological excavations at El-Bahnasa, 220 kilometers south of the Egyptian capital Cairo, uncovered a mummy 2500 years ago.
The 14-member excavation team included members from Spain, Italy, France, the United States and Egypt.

The tongues of corpses buried inside the 2 newly discovered tombs were replaced with gold plates, and the ancient Egyptians did well.

These two tombs date back to BC. Belong to the Site dynasty before 525. It is not known who the dead were. That golden tongue is located as it is pushed out of the mummy’s mouth.
Inside a tomb, the body of the deceased man was very well preserved and kept safely inside the tomb. 402 pottery was found from the man’s tomb. Also available are a collection of small amulets and items such as green beads.
Jewelry and grave items are also available in large quantities. The two bodies were placed separately on top of a limestone foundation in two separate tombs.
The man’s grave contained some artifacts, including beetles, jars, and pottery that were considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians. The woman’s grave was damaged by thieves and no items were found inside.
Archaeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the location of the mummies inside the tombs.
Also, in their research, they found 16 mummies from the area of the ancient Egyptian site of Taposiris Magna. The skull of one of them had a similar golden tongue.
Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Archeology, in addition 3 gold tongues have been found outside the tomb. They date back to BC. Belonging to the 30s period. Which existed during the reign of the Romans in Egypt.
Such golden tongues are found in large numbers in Egyptian mummies. It is noteworthy that the mummy found last February had a similar golden tongue.
