Tamil News | Allocation of Rs.11.22 crores for acquisition of Nagapattinam-Tuothukudi four-lane road land

Ramanathapuram: The central government has approved the construction of a four-lane green coastal road from Nagapattinam to Tuticorin through Ramanathapuram district. An amount of Rs.11 crore 22 lakh 41 thousand has been allotted for the land acquisition work.

A 331 km four-lane green coastal road will be constructed from Nagapattinam to Tuticorin by the National Highways Authority of India in the Bharat Mala project of the central government.

A project estimate of Rs.7000 crore has been prepared for this.

The land acquisition work will start after the central government approves the project.

Maximum Rs 4 Crore 92 Lakh 15 thousand has been allocated for the acquisition of lands in Thiruvadanai, Thondi, RS Mangalam, Ramanathapuram, Geezalkarai, Kadladadi in Ramanathapuram district.

The revenue department said that 200 officers such as special district revenue officers, separate tahsildars, deputy tahsildars and superintendents are to be appointed for this work.
