Chuwi’s GemiBook xPro is the first with an Alder Lake-N processor

by time news

The manufacturer of computers and tablets Chuwi announced the latest model of its production, the GemiBook xPro. It’s a laptop with a 14.1-inch screen and the world’s first based on Intel’s Alder Lake-N mobile processor architecture that was announced last month.

Inside it runs the new N100 processor, which is a quad-core processor with a maximum working frequency of up to 3.4 GHz that supports DDR5 and with a thermal envelope of 6 watts and a built-in Intel UHD graphics card that operates up to a frequency of 750 Hz with the ability to output video in a dual display of 4K. This is combined with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of NVMe M.2 SSD internal storage.

The computer measures 19.9 mm thick and weighs about 1.4 kg. The screen allows flattening up to an angle of 180 degrees, with a resolution of Full HD with an IPS panel. It also combines WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. All of these should provide the GemiBook xPro with relatively strong performance for office use and even a little beyond that, such as a 3D display and basic games.

The computer has a full keyboard as well as a relatively large mouse pad. It comes with a battery that is enough for about 8 hours of work and is charged with a USB-C connection. Its expected price is about 300 dollars and the launch is planned for the rest of the month. More details on the company website.
