The judge declares the bankruptcy of the Barreras private shipyard “fortuitous”

The bankruptcy of barriers it was “fortuitous” and, therefore, not to blame. This is what the Commercial Court No. 3 of Pontevedra has ruled, which with an order dated yesterday gives the definitive shelving to the bankruptcy process that ended with insolvencyand subsequent auction, of the Spain’s largest private shipyard.

The bankruptcy administration and the Prosecutor’s Office already they had coincided in qualifying the contest as “fortuitous”. The first, in his report, established that he did not see in the actions of the managers of the shipyard, with Douglas Prothero in charge, a “concealment or disappearance of assets and rights” that could “delay, hinder or prevent the effectiveness of an embargo”.

The magistrate Amelia María Pérez Mosteiro, therefore, ordered the file of the proceedings. There is no recourse against your car.

“We must point out that there have been no signs of evidence of fraud or gross negligence in his conduct that could have caused or aggravated the state of insolvency”, pointed out the bankruptcy administration, exercised by Tahice Legal, in the aforementioned report.
