After the analysis of the works during the visit, those responsible for the three entities have verified the pace of execution of the project and the progress of the works, from the physical connection of the tracks that will link the Port of Sagunto with the general network of Adif , up to the last section that passes over the Arcelor drainage channel, at the gates of the port area.

This project, which has an investment of 36.6 million euros, is part of an agreement signed by ADIF, the Valencia Port Authority and the State Ports. Of this amount, Valenciaport contributes 25.13 million, while another 11.5 million come from the European Union Regional Development Fund. With the completion of this project, the entrance of the railway to the Port of Sagunto will be allowed. It is a single-track, double-width electrified access.

The latest actions being worked on include the connection point of the branch that leads to the port with access to the general network; the roads already settled and built that cross the industrial area of Parc Sagunt; the embankments ready to receive contributions of base layers and ballast, prior to the placement of the sleepers and tracks; and the last section, in slab, over the Arcelor Mittal drainage channel.
