Next Monday, the work of the Third International Conference on Physiotherapy will start under the slogan (Physiotherapy Challenges and Achievements) for a period of three days, during which it will discuss the latest findings of science and technology in the field of the profession.
Director of the Department of Physiotherapy Services at the Ministry of Health, Abdullah Zaman, told Kuwait News Agency that the conference, which is being held under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr.
He pointed out that the conference aims to contribute to raising the efficiency of physiotherapists, achieving an outstanding level of performance and developing practical skills based on scientific foundations. He said that the convening of the conference came in order to keep abreast of developments and to embody the role of the ministry and its tireless and continuous efforts to advance the profession and work to overcome the difficulties facing physiotherapists, stressing that Kuwait has spared no effort to enhance the quality of life and support the health sector.
He stated that the department aims to provide comprehensive quality treatment services by adopting an advanced health system that is consistent with the aspirations and objectives of the department, including the introduction of modern treatment methods, evidence-based practices, and the use of technology such as dry needle technology and the Lyra device, which is used to treat neurological patients.
He explained that Kuwait is one of the leading countries in this field, noting the continuous development of services through the construction expansion of physiotherapy departments and the opening of 7 clinics in health centers covering various regions, in addition to home care services and services for the elderly.
