It is about the construction of the Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nuevo León and now the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) announced that it also plans to build a new hospital.
Historical investment for Mexico
To begin with, it is estimated that this great project of Elon Musk involves a total investment of 10 billion dollars for the Mexican entity. Everything will be in stages and it could also cause other international companies to prefer to invest in our country.
With this in mind, so far the transnational has invested approximately 28 billion dollars worldwide. All part of its goal of producing at least 20 million cars per year. To meet that goal, it needs more factories spread across the globe.
For his part, the businessman indicated that He chose Nuevo León because of its proximity to the border with Texas and because the costs are lower than in the United States. Salaries in pesos will always be less than those offered in dollars on the other side of the border. In addition, he also indicated that this headquarters is better than others that were considered such as Germany, the Netherlands, Colombia and Indonesia.
IMSS joins Tesla to invest in Nuevo León
According to plans, to run the new Tesla’s Gigafactory plans to hire 35,000 workers. This is a large number of people who would not only originate from Nuevo León but also from other parts of the country.
Based on the above, today the IMSS made an important announcement. It involves the construction of a new hospital that will be located in the municipality of Santa Catarina. The objective is to cover the demand of beneficiaries that will be generated in the northern region of the country.
According to Milenio, for this new hospital it is planned to allocate 3,200 million pesos. It is also estimated that it will have 260 beds and various medical specialties.
This news comes after the director of the IMSS, Zoé Robledo, stated that he has strong and healthy finances. He pointed out that in 2013 the Institute entered 11 thousand 156 million pesos. While for 2022 the figure was 23 thousand 191 million pesos, that is, there was an increase of 47 percent.
With this in mind, there is now a historical reserve of 401 billion pesos. Therefore, the IMSS has a guaranteed financial sufficiency for 13 years.
