The Stability Support Service confirmed the seizure of an estimated quantity of 30,000 kilograms of onions, unfit for human consumption.
The agency stated that during a campaign against food and medicine with the competent authorities in the vegetable market in the municipality of Janzour, the quantity was confiscated.
The Stability Support Service indicated that the quantity of onions was confiscated because it was infected with black fungus and was imported from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The agency pointed out that the seized quantity was destroyed at the headquarters of the textile factory in the municipality of Janzour, in the presence of all the parties participating in the campaign.
