Over the past month, about 13,000 earthquakes have occurred in Turkey and neighboring areas, the Turkish State Disaster and Emergency Management Service announced.

“From February 6 to March 4, 13,000 earthquakes were recorded in Turkey and neighboring areas. As a result of aftershocks in Kahramanmarash (historical Marash-ed.), as many earthquakes were registered in the last month as in 6 months,” the service’s message states.
