Aries train lifting and bogie removal system

by time news

Aries has developed a system for lifting trains and disassembling simultaneous bogies, flexible and adaptable to any type of box and bogie design and assembly configuration for a variable number of cars.

The system does not require specific civil works to install the lifting jack, foundation pit or bogie drop pits and it has a modular configuration. The lifting columns are placed in the working position with a crane or a forklift, adapted to the length of the body, and the lifting points of the jacks can be moved to adapt to different lifting positions of the body or bogie.
The electrically operated system allows one or more bogies to be selected and lowered onto the track, while the train remains raised. The columns are designed to be disconnected and still support the load.

Loading capacity

The load capacity for each jack is fifteen tons and there are double and triple sets depending on the type of train for combined loads of thirty and 45 tons. The lifting jack sets are synchronized during all phases of operation, monitored and controlled by a dedicated PLC. Its vertical positioning precision is one millimeter and the configurable full movement tolerance of five millimeters.
