#Courage is a woman. From 6 March the spot promoted by the Minister for the Family, Birth Rate and Equal Opportunities Eugenia Roccella will be broadcast on Rai, radio and TV, and on social networks. by the undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council Alberto Barachini.

The institutional communication campaign, #ilcoraggioèdonna, celebrates International Women’s Rights Day, dedicating this March 8 to Mahsa Amini, who died in Iran after being arrested for wearing the veil “incorrectly”, and to all women who are fighting to see their fundamental rights recognized and respected.

“Being free – recites the voice of Pegah Moshir Pour – means being able to study and decide who to become. Being able to leave the house with one’s hair uncovered without fear of being arrested or losing one’s life. Have the opportunity to earn a living and have your work recognized fairly. It means choosing to build a family in peace, away from violence and war. Courage is a woman like freedom”.

Lucana of Iranian origins, Pegah Moshir Pour is an activist and content creator. Her name became popular five months ago when unprecedented protests erupted in Iran after the death of Masha Amini. When she was 9 years old, Pegah was forced to leave Tehran to arrive in Basilicata with her family. In those years, the violence and repression of the Islamic regime became very strong, to the point of inducing several families to flee the country. For this reason, today her voice is all in support of the protests of women and men, which exploded after the death of Masha Amini.
