The President of the Republic of Niger, Head of State, HE Mr. Mohamed Bazoum met, yesterday afternoon in his cabinet, with the Special Envoy of the European Union for the Sahel, Ms. Emanuela Claudia Del Re.
On leaving the audience, Ms. Emanuela Claudia Del Re expressed her joy for the meeting with the Head of State, as Special Representative of the European Union for the Sahel but also as a citizen of the world, because, for her, talking with him is always rewarding. Ms. Emanuela Claudia Del Re then praised the efforts of the President of the Republic who, she said, has built the reputation of her country and has also been able to build a fruitful partnership with the European Union. “When we talk about the problem of the Sahel, we meet to discuss in detail the deepest questions, the most important challenges and we find convergences. We are discussing the methodology to be applied to obtain a result of balance, stability while considering that the Sahel presents different situations,” she said.
Mrs. Emanuela Claudia Del Re also noted that the European Union remains Niger’s first partner. “We are involved and committed every day so that our project is realized and makes a great contribution to the development of the country,” she assured.
Ms. Emanuela Claudia Del Re thanked President Mohamed Bazoum who, for her, represents an extraordinary example of positive politics, an opportunity for the whole of Africa to become a fundamental, stronger global protagonist with an impact on all the dynamics of the world. .
