Biathlon: deprived of its leaders, the French team wins the mixed relay of Nove Mesto

by time news

Even deprived of its executives, Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Emilien Jacquelin, Julia Simon and Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, the French team won the mixed 4x6km relay in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) this Sunday ahead of Sweden (+ 33′’6) and Norway (+38′’3), also deprived of the Boe brothers. In turn, Lou Jeanmonnot, Caroline Colombo, Eric Perrot and Fabien Claude were imperial on skis to give victory to the Habs, who signed their second success of the season in the mixed relay after that of Pokljuka (Slovenia) at the start of January.

And the French owe their victory of the day to their precision with their rifle. Lou Jeanmonnot and Fabien Claude left no crumbs in the shots (10/10), while Caroline Colombo (four picks) and Eric Perrot (three picks) had to work in penalty rounds. But the France team was able to take advantage of the difficulties on the Swedes’ shooting range (18 pickaxes), in particular symbolized by Sebastian Samuelsson, in the fight with Fabien Claude during the last handover, who drew four times and the Norwegians (16 pickaxes).

Note the first World Cup successes of Caroline Colombo and Éric Perrot, all events combined.
