A fighter pilot was investigated on suspicion of incitement because of a post about the policeman who threw a stun grenade in protest

A former fighter pilot was questioned today (Sunday) with a warning on suspicion of threats because of a post he shared with the photo of Corporal Meir Suisa, the police officer from the Tel Aviv District who was recorded throwing a stun grenade into a group of protesters contrary to police instructions and was even questioned by the police following that incident.

The protester who lost his ear: “Whoever threw the grenade at me came from a shitty unit”
Ben Gvir backed up the policeman who was recorded throwing a grenade at protesters: “They are trying to scare you”

The pilot was questioned on suspicion of inciting threats and threats and was released at the end of his investigation by the Tel Aviv district’s cyber unit. The summons to the investigation was sent last Friday following the post he uploaded that included the photo of the police officer and a short statement – “Meir Suisa throws a stun grenade into the crowd – crazy”.

As mentioned, the suspect was released at the end of his investigation. The police point out that this is not an investigation due to his military past and in view of the threats directed at the officer following that post. We emphasize that the threats against the officer were written in responses to the post, and not the pilot who wrote the threats.

We will also mention that prior to his investigation, Minister Ben Gabir spoke with the officer and strengthened his hand. During the conversation, according to the minister, the officer claimed that he was dealing with shaming. We note that the video in which he was recorded throwing the grenade was published on the same day. Later, his friends also uploaded pictures to support the officer.

Meanwhile, earlier today 37 reserve pilots in the Air Force’s 69th Fighter Squadron announced that they would not show up for training in protest of the legal reform. The pilots announced that they would report for operational activity. Instead of the training day, they intend to hold a reserve meeting that will deal with the topic “democracy and the unity of the people”.

Squadron 69 is one of the leading squadrons in the Air Force, taking a very central part in the Air Force (Campaign between the Wars). This is the first notable step taken in this way, in an old and essential squadron for Israel’s security, where the reservists have a special dominance.
