US-South Korea joint military exercise: UN Intervene and stop

by time news

Seoul,

South Korea conducts 10-day joint military exercises with the United States every year in March to deal with the threat of North Korea. Then they carry out long-range bombing and fighter training.

North Korea opposes this as a threat to their country’s security. In response to this, the United States and South Korea are saying that this exercise is necessary for their own security and to deal with the threat of North Korea’s nuclear weapons.

In this case, the U.N. North Korea has insisted on intervening and stopping US-South Korean joint military exercises.

In this regard, North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to the UN saying, “The joint military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea are causing unnecessary tension in the region. Therefore, the UN should intervene and immediately stop these joint military exercises.” And the UN said about these exercises. In the letter, North Korea also stated that it regrets keeping the peace.
