After the counting of voters’ votes in the municipal and mayoral elections, the parties share their thoughts about the outcome of the elections. Ieva Kačinskaitė-Urbonienė, the candidate for mayor of the Labor Party in the capital, said that she does not expect to get to the second round, but she hopes to gather a faction in the Vilnius City Council. The peasant candidate Stasys Jakeliūnas did not appear at his headquarters, and the party chairman Ramūnas Karbauskis is convinced that the leading candidates in the ratings will not change anything in Vilnius. Saulis Skvernelis, the leader of the “Vardan Lietuvos” Democratic Union, would like more voter turnout, and the candidate Lukas Savickas himself would like to see equality in the whole of Vilnius as important to him, regardless of who lives where.
