On the occasion of Women’s Day: How can you maintain a healthy lifestyle?

by time news

Ahead of International Women’s Day, Dr. Dana Florentin, a family medicine specialist in general health services in the Dan-Pat district, gives several recommendations for women to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

She explains that what we put into our bodies has an effect. That is why it is important to be careful about the quantity and the quality, that is, to minimize the amount of carbohydrates and to be careful about the consumption of vegetables and fruits that contain vitamins. There is no need to buy various food supplements and medicines containing vitamins. It is enough to eat one fruit and one vegetable per day, and it is desirable to vary and eat a different type every day. She also warned that a woman’s risk of dying from cardiovascular disease is greater than the risk of dying from breast cancer, and despite this, women still do not recognize the suspicious complaints that there is a problem with the heart, and therefore do not rush to call for help and go to the emergency room.

Many women develop early warning signs in the month before a heart attack, and these include unexplained fatigue, shortness of breath, sleep disturbances and new heartburn.

Other signs of an acute heart attack include a feeling of pressure in the chest, sharp or burning pain in the chest, cold sweat, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, pain in the left shoulder, neck and upper back.

Dr. Florentin recommends performing periodic tests and aerobic activity for 40 minutes every day, and making sure to sleep properly.
