High clearance volume on electric and hybrid vehicles

Watan Al-Youm: The representative of the vehicle sector in the Jordanian Free Zones Investors Authority, Jihad Abu Nasser, announced the clearance of 9,434 vehicles from the Zarqa Free Zone to the local market during the first two months of this year.
Abu Nasser said in a press statement that the volume of clearance during the same period was distributed as 2174 petrol engine vehicles, 1152 diesel engine vehicles, 2463 hybrid vehicles and 3645 electric vehicles.
As for the volume of clearance during February 2023, he indicated that 992 petrol engine vehicles, 545 diesel engine vehicles, 1048 hybrid vehicles and 1609 electric vehicles were cleared from the Zarqa Free Zone.
Abu Nasser said that the clearance movement in the Zarqa Free Zone is witnessing a growth in the clearance of electric vehicles, as it reached 93 percent during the first two months of this year, compared to the same period in the year 2022.
He added that there is also a growth in the volume of clearance for hybrid vehicles by 300 percent during January and February 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.
It is noteworthy that the re-exported vehicles were registered in the first two months of this year, 5,820 vehicles, compared to 5,745 vehicles for the period from 2022.
