Chennai: The 2003 film Pitamagan starring Vikram and Surya was a critical and box office success. Thus, during the shooting, producer VA Durai paid director Bala 25 lakh rupees in advance to direct another film for him. As said, Bala did not direct the film. Durai asked several times to return the money but Bala did not give it. After 19 years, on September 14, 2022, VA Durai went to director Bala’s office and staged a sit-in protest. He was forced out by Bala’s men.
Now, her living conditions are very bad and her livelihood is very affected and she has no one to take care of her and she has taken shelter in her friend’s house in Saligramam. Durai’s friend has released a video recording saying that it would be nice if someone could help him who is in dire straits. In the video recording, Durai is suffering from diabetes, and as a result, he has ulcers on his legs to the extent that the bones are visible inside, and his legs are slowly eroding.
