The Periyar University team has placed 3rd in the all-India women’s volleyball tournament.
All India Inter University Women’s Volleyball Tournament was held at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Teams from 16 universities from across the country participated in this.
The Periyar University women’s volleyball team won the bronze medal by standing third. Earlier, the team of Periyar University won the silver medal by winning the 2nd place in the women’s volleyball tournament of South Zone University level in which 57 teams participated. Vice-Chancellor I. Jaganathan congratulated the female players by giving incentives.
During this event, University Physical Education Director K. Venkatachalam and Team Coach Balavasuki were present.
