Mazembe in Tunis with 29 players for their match against Monastir – acpcongo

Kinshasa, march 6th2023 (CPA).- TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is already in Tunis, capital of Tunisia, since Sunday, for its match against US Monastir, reported Monday the official website of the Lubumbashi club.

The source said that the goalkeeper Ibrahim Mounkoro is also on the trip and will be there for a routine check. Indeed, he will meet the doctor who operated on him, adding that before leaving Lubumbashi, the club’s medical staff had submitted him to a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.

It is understood that the injury to one of his knees is healing and that it will take another month or so before the goalkeeper can be expected to play again for the Lubumbashi’s Crows.

As for Zambian defender Kabaso Chongo, the source said he has suffered a relapse, indicating that Ismaily Abdul Ganiyu is injured while Serge Mukoko Tonombe has not recovered 100%.

The source further reported that the technical staff of the Lusitanian Crows had just arrived in Tunis on Sunday and scheduled a short warm-up session in the gym.
