Delivery was made on February 7.
The National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP) recalled that it delivered to the Public Ministry a complete and unedited video of the moments before Pedro Castillo’s presidential message on December 7, 2022.
The audiovisual material was sent by the television house to the prosecutor’s office, on February 7, through a USB device, indicates the letter addressed -on a reserved basis- to the fProsecutor of the Nation, Patricia Benavidesby the CEO of the IRTP, Jesus Solari Diaz.
There it is pointed out that these images would be relevant for the development of the preliminary investigation against former president Castillo for the alleged crimes of rebellion and others to the detriment of the State.
“It should be noted that the audiovisual material in question is sent immediately after its existence has been warned by the current administration”is read in the official letter addressed to the owner of the Public ministry.
On December 7, in a message to the Nation transmitted by the signal of TV Peruthe then President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, announced an exceptional emergency government and the dissolution of Congressafter which he was vacated due to moral incapacity.
