AViveka M, who wrote the lyrics for the super hit dance number “Annathe Annathe …” for Rajinikanth in the movie Annathe, and Arun Bharathi (Arun Bharathi) who wrote the super hit song “Wa Sami …” for the first time are the lyricists for a Malayalam movie. Viveka and Arun Bharathi came to Kochi to write lyrics for two Tamil songs in the Malayalam film “Freezer Number 18” written and directed by Manoj K Varghese, an associate of MF Hussain.
Viveka, who started her career as a lyricist in Tamil cinema in 1999, has written lyrics for over 2500 Tamil songs, including “Annathe Annathe …” and many other hit songs, including Excuse me Mr. Kanthasamy, My name is Meenakumari, Jum Gunumani and Daddy Mummy is not at home. Arun Bharathi is a genius who has established himself in the world of Tamil cinema with his many power packed songs like “Wa Sami …” and Naga Naga, Mustache Hunter. Arun Bharathi’s poem “Eema Kalayam” is a subject for Plus One students in the Kerala Syllabus.
Viveka wrote the lyrics for a lively song composed by Sandesh Peter on the theme of Hope in the movie “Freezer Number 18”. The song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Sithara Krishnakumar. Arun Bharathi has penned the lyrics for a power packed song composed by Sunilkumar PK against the backdrop of a student struggle. The song is sung by Haricharan, MV Mahalingam and Jyotsna. Produced by Shafreen CP in association with Shaaz Entertainments and India Elements, Shafreen CP has three songs. The third is the Malayalam song itself. The song is composed by Sunil Kumar himself. The director of the film, Manoj, said that the songwriters have not been decided yet.
Though making their debut in Malayalam cinema now, Vivek and Arun Bharathi are the ones who watch a lot of Malayalam movies. Both say in unison that there are films in Malayalam that give importance to story and poetry. They both said that they are very happy that their songs in the movie Anna have become a super hit. Many songs of their own are coming up in Tamil. When the director told the story and lyrics of the movie Freezer No. 18 over the phone, they said that they did not have to think twice to make their debut in Malayalam cinema with this movie.
The Mystery-Thriller, which will start shooting in Palakkad and Coimbatore in mid-March, will feature Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi actors.
