Broly is a character that, for many years, remained out of the canon, after appearing for the first time in his own movie, released on March 6, 1993. We had to wait many years to see him in action again, and this time in Dragon Ball Super, where did you get your ‘status‘ cannon.

The movie has a lot of merit not only because it deals with the appearance of the ‘legendary Super Saiyan’, but the whole plot around how Goku and the others end up traveling to another planet (tricked by Paragus) to be destroyed by Broly’s power. . However, no one counted on the villain losing control looking at Kakarottowhom he had a hatred for since they were babies.
Toei he was in charge of producing the film and he did it masterfully, showing us different stages of Broly. Initially going through a relaxed appearance, until little by little showing us that ‘monster’ that was capable of destroying everything in its path. The animation, although its years have passed, is still very well preserved, since it shows that it was one of the Dragon Ball Z movies that they wanted to put more affection on. To no one’s surprise, Broly would end up becoming one of people’s favorite characters worldwide, especially North Americans.
