WHATSAPP LEAK – Former British Prime Minister Johnson’s scandal: he imposed draconian measures just to spread fear – VP News – ‘no talking’

by time news

100,000 WhatsApp messages have been made public by former health secretary Matt Hancock. These messages, which the “Telegraph” is revealing to the public, shed light on the management of the Covid “crisis” by the government of Jhonson, in Great Britain.

Johnson and his government have decided in favor of mandatory masks for purely political reasons, such as – for example – to avoid a dispute with the harsh regime wanted by Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon and therefore to appear more severe with respect to the opposition. For this, his administration pushed to take measures without scientific evidence and announced new “mutations” when the numbers of deaths and infections had decreased. Obviously, Johnson’s line was also determined by strong external pressures that were not entirely for health reasons, in a run-up to the profit of pharmaceutical companies and political hegemony.

Johnson also knew that the data on Covid was distorted (in the messages he speaks of «very wrong Covid data»), and Health Secretary Matt Hancock knew it too. In particular, the latter’s messages show that even in the United Kingdom, politicians have used Covid as an unrepeatable opportunity to pass laws and measures that otherwise would never have been accepted by the population.

The truth came to light thanks to the breach of confidentiality of a journalist who had written a book with Hancock on the Covid crisis and who made messages from internal government Whatsapp groups available to the Daily Telegraph for a total of 2.3 million words .

Whatsapp leaks show that ministers and officials they have taken a series of measures with little scientific basis or for reasons of political interest. Sometimes there has even been a desire to intimidate the population with draconian rules, new mutations and falsified data.

The UK imposed its first lockdown relatively late in 2020 and eased measures towards the end of the pandemic earlier than other European countries. However, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government has repeatedly imposed strict lockdowns and restrictions on contact, with a sometimes seemingly reckless indifference to population issues and constitutional rights.

One minister openly admitted there was no “strong case” for limiting maximum social contact to more than six people, including children – which, of course, didn’t stop ministers from deciding just that. They proceeded similarly to the mandatory wearing of masks in schools.

Throughout the pandemic, officials and ministers have struggled over how to ensure the public complies with ever-changing lockdown restrictions. One weapon in their arsenal was fear.

We’re going to scare everyone”Matt Hancock suggested during a WhatsApp message with his media advisor.

The then Minister of Health was not alone in his desire to scare citizens into “compliance”. WhatsApp messages posted by the Telegraph show how several of Hancock’s team engaged in a sort of ‘Project Fear’, in which they talked about how they would use ‘fear and guilt’ to get people to obey the lockdown .

And in another private whatsapp message from Boris Johnson, he declares:

Matt when I read this chart an 80 year old patient has a 6% chance of dying and if you are under 35 the chances are negligible. If I was 80 years old and told the choice is between destroying the economy and risking exposure to a disease where I have a 94% chance of surviving I know what I’d rather.”

What emerges are ‘political reasons’, however there are also reasons of private interest. Furthermore, the appeal among the leaderships of the various European countries to be the most diligent in decreeing measures that are sometimes excessive and of dubious effectiveness does not escape.
