Unemployment among women in Afghanistan has increased by 25%

The International Labor Organization reported on March 7 that since August 2021, unemployment among women in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan has increased by 25%. In the same period, the employment rate of men decreased by 7%.

It is forbidden for women to study, work, and walk freely. The humanitarian crisis is intensifying in the country, people are suffering from hunger and poverty.

The “Taliban” movement has been recognized as extremist in many countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Their rule in Afghanistan is not recognized by the international community.
