Thiruvananthapuram: Accident in Varkala while paragliding. Two persons who were paragliding in Varkala Papanasham got stuck in the pole of the high mast light. The young woman and the instructor from Coimbatore got stuck in a 100 meter high light pole while paragliding. Both were trapped at a height of fifty feet. Coimbatore native Parvathy and instructor Sandeep were trapped in the high mast light.

After getting to know that both of them were trapped, the fire force personnel rescued them after an hour long struggle. Both of them landed safely under the high mast light pole by spreading the net. Both were immediately shifted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses say that both of them fell down while the rescue operation was in progress. It was concluded that both of them were uninjured as they fell into the net spread by the fire force. But both escaped from a huge accident. Onlookers say that the two escaped without falling into the sea as they got stuck in the pole of the light.
