On Wednesday 8 March, a mobile HPV testing team from GGD Amsterdam will be present at the Amsterdam UMC (location AMC). Employees, students and visitors between the ages of 18 and 27 can come by for a free HPV vaccination.
In collaboration with the Amsterdam UMC (Women’s division), we will be at the information market about health on this International Women’s Day. Visitors can ask questions about HPV and the consequences it can have, and immediately get their HPV shot. Very handy!

HPV vaccination in 2023 free
The initiative of the GGD and Amsterdam UMC for this pop-up location was born from the joint desire to educate employees and students about HPV, and to make getting the shot as easy as possible.
The vaccination against HPV protects against 6 types of cancer. The vaccination is a series of 2 injections, with a minimum of 5 months in between. In 2023, anyone born between 1 January 1996 and 31 December 2003 can get these shots for free at the 5 GGD locations in Amsterdam and Amstelveen and at the mobile HPV vaccination team.
The HPV vaccination is now also included in the National Immunization Programme. Young people up to and including the age of 18 will automatically receive a call as soon as it is their turn.

The mobile vaccination team of the GGD has been set up to give all young people between the ages of 18 and 27 in Amsterdam the opportunity to get the HPV vaccination quickly and easily.
