Ladies and gentlemen ;
First of all, I would like to thank you most sincerely for the honor you are doing us by responding massively to our invitation.
A few months ago if I had been told that I was going to stand in front of an audience and pronounce the name of Sanoussi Tambari Jackou, I would have been scandalized because during his lifetime it was difficult for me to pronounce his vous devous I agamer , name. Today, duty calls us, because we must celebrate this great man that was Sanoussi Tambari Jackou who left us exactly 5 months 20 days ago.
Minister of State, Transversal Advisor to the President of the Republic.
A politician, he animated the political scene throughout his life, participated in all the fights for the defense of democracy and human rights. Deeply committed to social justice and equity, Very broad, he was the voice of the voiceless.
Promoter of several newspapers, he ardently defended and promoted a free and independent press.
Known in the deep country, in the villages, in the hamlets, in the sub-region and internationally, Sanoussi Tambari Jackou was an outstanding patriot.
This love for his country cost him many miseries and deprivations thus definitively forging his convictions and his vision.
His eloquence, outspokenness and courage leave no one indifferent. He always used direct and truthful language when speaking. Sometimes stormy, sometimes premonitory, Some of his speeches are engraved in the common memory.
He had the courage as the French politician Jean Jaurès said< de chercher la vérité et de la dire >>.
The assessment of his life is immense and it will be up to each generation, to each stratum of our society to make this assessment.

He now rests in his native village of Kornaka more than 700 km from Niamey in the Maradi region.

He was, Man of science, scholar of the Holy Quran, Historian, Economist, university teacher, National Deputy, Minister,

In an era marked by rising inequalities, a rise in extremism and multifaceted conflicts, Sanoussi Tambari Jackou remained standing true to his vision until his last breath.
His courage and his struggles will be our compass.

Anxious to preserve this heritage and perpetuate his work, we have decided in accordance with the laws of the Republic to create an Association called “Foundation Sanoussi Tambari Jackou (FSTJ)”.
The main objective of the Sanoussi Tambari Jackou Foundation is to promote Democracy, Fundamental Human Rights, and Good Governance.
To achieve its objectives, the Foundation is committed to an inclusive, participatory and apolitical approach in order to unite all social strata.
The Foundation is open to anyone who shares the ideals of Sanoussi Tambari Jackou
