Madhavaram: A speeding ‘Polero’ jeep collided with an auto in front of it near the Madhavaram roundabout flyover last night.
Three people, including the auto driver, were seriously injured.
They were identified as Usain Phulchand, 45, and Kamalkonai Arjun, 22, construction workers from West Bengal, who were staying in Puzhal, and the auto was driven by Lingathurai, 44, from Avadi Veerapuram.
Usenbul Chand died on the way to the hospital. The other two are undergoing intensive care.
Karthik, 39, from Puzhal, Kavankara, who was driving the jeep that caused the accident, was arrested by the Traffic Investigation Division police.
