A “demonstration of solidarity” by dozens of air crew members with the reserve pilots from Squadron 69 was held this morning (Wednesday) in front of the minister’s house Yoav Kish During the protest, one of the demonstrators called out to him: “Leave the neighborhood. There is enough room for people who support the dictatorship, go to Iran, Hungary. Turkey is a place for you.”

“Among the only ones who can resist”: a protest against the legal reform took place in front of Kish’s house
A former squadron deputy commander on the refusal to serve in the reserves: “They spit on the well from which they drank”

“We are terrorists, we are anarchists – 70 reserve days a year. You were an air crew fighter, you know what these people go through, a soldier of the land. It’s unbelievable what a country we live in, get out. Where are all the neighbors, get out – look who lives here. Fascists whose intention is one – to turn us into a dictatorship,” he attacked.

Another protester claimed: “I didn’t vote for the right, I don’t listen to Lapid. I don’t buy the demonization of Aharon Barak and Ehud Barak. What is happening here is a coup d’état and we will fight it. Inventions and nonsense will not help, we will stop it. I am surprised by the behavior of the Minister of Education.”

Yesterday the protestors announced the holding of the demonstration as a sign of solidarity with the reserve pilots whose letter caused an uproar at the beginning of the week. In the message, which was distributed among the members, it is written that the demonstration will take place this morning at seven o’clock, in front of Minister Kish’s house in Ramat Gan. The message also states that the participants are asked to come with squadron shirts, and signs with inscriptions in the style: 69 with a red heart. “We owe them this!”, the organizers said yesterday.

As you may recall, 37 reserve pilots in the Air Force’s 69th Fighter Squadron announced that they would not show up for training in protest of the legal reform. The pilots announced that they would report to operational activity. Lt. Col. N. a fighter pilot for 20 years and an active pilot from Squadron 69 said: “The fighters of Squadron 69 will continue to serve Jewish and democratic Israel, beyond enemy lines and at all times. Similar to significant events that happen in the squadron and require discussion, we decided to stop the training for one day and talk about the worrying processes that the country is experiencing.’
