In Essonne, a red public bench symbolizing “the blood shed by women victims of violence”

Attached between the Francis-Huster media library and the town hall of Nozay (Essonne), on one of the grass carpets in the square, this red bench catches the eye. The colors stand out and challenge. And it is not a hazard. “This red bench symbolizes the blood shed by women who are victims of violence”, explains the mayor (SE) Didier Perrier. It is inaugurated this Wednesday, March 8, for International Women’s Rights Day, in the presence of many political, associative and institutional actors. “So that we are made aware” of this cause and “so that we don’t forget”.
