The teaser of Rajeev Ravi’s Thuramugam starring Nivin Pauly is out. The film will hit the theaters on March 10. The release of the film has been postponed three times since its announcement. Finally, Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames has acquired all the rights for the port and the film will hit the theaters.

Nivin Pauly appears in various get-ups in the film, and the Kochi port of the twenties and forties has been recreated beautifully. The main theme of the film is the Chappa system of division of labor which existed in Kochi till 1962 and the struggle of the workers to end it. Nivin Pauly has played a negative shade character in the film. Nivin Pauly said in a press conference to promote the film that Arjun Ashoka is the hero.

The film also has the distinction of being scripted by Gopan Chidambaram after Job’s book. Thuramugam is a film based on a play written by Gopan Chidambaram’s father. Apart from Nivin, Indrajith Darshan Rajendran, Purnima Indrajith, Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Arjun Ashokan and others are playing the lead roles. The film has been produced by Sukumar Thekepaat and Jose Thomas under the banner of Thekepaat Films.
The camera of the film is handled by director Rajeev Ravi himself. Anwar Ali’s lyrics are composed by K and Shahbaz Aman. B Ajith Kumar is the editor.
