Celebrate Women’s Day: Today marks Women’s Day and many women celebrate the day dedicated only to them. One such is the successful model Yael Shelvia. Shelvia stopped the Purim celebrations and put up a post on the occasion of the day which she defines as: “the most important day of the year or so”.
Don’t forget flowers
Shelvia uploaded a photo from one of her campaigns to Instagram and wrote: “It’s true that it’s still Purim and everything. But leave your nonsense, tomorrow is the most important day of the year, about Women’s Day!”. Later in the post, she also adds a recommendation for men: “So to all the women here and in my life – you are the best in the world. In everything. And anyone who reads this and has an important woman in their life – don’t forget flowers.”

“Your family is the one who will always be there by your side”
A few weeks ago Shelvia shared her family story. Shelvia, who grew up in a religious home, wrote: “The story with my family is the most revealing story I’ve ever had the chance to share,” she wrote, “I was privileged to go through one of the most important lessons in my life in front of the camera.”
“I’m sure there are many people who know this feeling and are coping alone,” Shelvia wrote to her over one million followers, “without making it difficult for anyone.” The model explained that the hardest feeling for a parent is not knowing what their child is dealing with, and that’s how her mother felt when the two were distant. “I learned to stop running away,” she revealed, “to stop trying to hold everything on my shoulders and to know how to ask for help.” After a period of distance from her mother and the rest of the family, Shelvia realized, “In the end, your family is the one that will always be there by your side.”
