The UN Secretary General spoke in Kiev in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity

On March 8, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres visited Ukraine. He spoke in Kyiv in favor of “creating a just world in accordance with the UN Charter, international law and the resolution of the General Assembly.”

“Ukraine’s independence, unity and territorial integrity must be preserved along with the borders recognized by the international community,” Gutterish said.

The Secretary General met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

During this visit, it was reported that the agreement between the UN, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea ports will be discussed.

Zelensky said that he is in favor of extending the grain agreement between the UN and Ukraine.

Guterres went to Kiev via Poland. The Secretary General has no plans to visit Moscow and will return to New York from Kyiv. In August last year, Guterres visited Ukraine and Russia.
