Disney Plus Hotstar set to discontinue HBO content, here’s the reason

Leading video streaming app Disney Plus Hotstar is discontinuing HBO content. According to reports, such content will be removed with the termination of the partnership with HBO. With this, shows like Game of Thrones will disappear from Disney Plus Hotstar soon.

HBO will be removing the content from March 31. The new announcement is part of cost-cutting measures. HBO’s popular programs including Game of Thrones reached Indian consumers through Hotstar. Meanwhile, HBO’s content is likely to move to Amazon Prime. Many of the DC shows on HBO Max are available to Indian consumers through Amazon Prime.
