The activities of Chabad House Ethiopia in its tenth year are growing and growing.
Beit Chabad made sure to reach all the Jews visiting and living in the country in order to make them happy a few days before Purim.
Also, the airport, one of the main centers of activity, is very lively during Purim.
Rabbi Eliyahu Habib, the emissary of Rabbi Shlita the King of the Messiah to the state of Ethiopia, recruited volunteers to assist in the activity, headed by Harel Meshikler.
The first reading of the scroll took place in the ancient synagogue of the Eden community with the participation of community members. Immediately at the end of the call, the messengers rushed to the field in order to have time to reward the passengers who were going to board a flight at night.
The need for reading the Megillah in the field proved to be extremely important. It is exciting to see a group of Jews enter just before the flight, and also manage to hear the reading of the scroll.
The next day, early in the morning, Rabbi Eliyahu Habib made sure to wait for the flight that left Israel and was supposed to land in Ethiopia. Many of the Jewish passengers were excited to receive a fancy package delivery from the rabbi and to hear the reading of the scroll.
During the day, the messengers continued to distribute deliveries to the members of the local community, of course without missing saying “Cheers” to everyone.
Towards the end of Purim, they held a “feast and joy” at the Chabad house “Ad Dela Yeda” along with an interesting and special activity for children.
