New Delhi: With the death of General Bipin Rawat, the Central Government has begun the process of finding the next Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Security Council chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the issue yesterday.
Among the current Army Chiefs is the Chief of Army Staff, General M.S. M. Naravan is the oldest. If it is decided to appoint him on the basis of seniority, Naravan will be the next Joint Chiefs of Staff. If so, the new army chief will have to be found.
