In order to create meaningful learning experiences for interior design students, Home Design has devised a schedule of special classes on how to design kitchens, taught by specialized architects and taking into account the latest trends in this area.
The first master class was given to the last-year interior design students of the Las Mercedes University Design Institute, who learned the new trends in modular kitchens, into which zones they are divided, the standard distances and heights that are being used, what materials are the most appropriate and durable, among other things.
With didactic exercises, the students were able to design a kitchen based on practicality and creativity. Additionally, they were able to learn a little more about the approach towards the client, budget and final results. In this way, they can take away a clearer idea of the world that awaits them once they finish their degree.
The idea is to replicate these master classes with different design institutes or schools in Caracas. All this is part of a special schedule of activities to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Home Design.
